Fire & Smoke Society seasons everything — we make bold spices, rich sauces, smoky gravies, and coatings crafted for people who care deeply about what goes on the table. Our products bring serious flavor to home kitchens, weekend gatherings, and everywhere food brings people together. Now we’re looking for a creative storyteller with a lens to help us share that passion with the world.

This is not a corporate content calendar job. This is a seat at the table with the founding team, a chance to help build a brand with real soul, and the creative freedom to make content that genuinely connects with people — to experiment, make a mess in the kitchen, and create something you’re proud to share.

What You’ll Do

• Concept, shoot, and edit short-form recipe videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and beyond
• Capture high-quality still photography for product launches, packaging, campaigns, and social content
• Work directly with the marketing team and founders to develop content strategy and visual identity
• Manage shoot days from prep to post, keeping timelines tight and quality high
• Stay ahead of platform trends and bring fresh ideas to every shoot
• Build and maintain a growing content library of photo and video assets

What You Bring

• Proven experience shooting and editing short-form social video
• Strong portfolio showing range — food, lifestyle, product, or brand content
• Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar)
• Solid eye for composition, lighting, and color grading
• Passion for food, home cooking, food community, or culture, or the craft behind great flavors is a major plus

Bonus Points

• Experience shooting professional still photography
• Motion graphics or title design skills
• Familiarity with food styling or culinary content
• Experience growing social channels from the ground up
• Copywriting or caption skills that match the brand’s visual voice
