Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Recorder 1st Deputy to join our administrative team. This vital role involves supporting the smooth operation of the office by managing clerical tasks, handling communication, and assisting with record-keeping processes. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent computer literacy skills. Responsibilities

  • Perform duties of the County Recorder in their absence
  • Manage front desk operations, answering telephones, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately with professional etiquette
  • Assists members of the public in locating requested documents, including asking questions to gather information regarding requests, researching computer files or appropriate ledger books to locate appropriate documents, answering questions and photocopying document
  • Examine documents for completeness, record each document by following statutory requirements and ensuring documents have preparation clause and are signed and notarized. Complete data entry and maintain accurate filing systems for records, documents, and correspondence received over the counter, electronically and by mail.
  • Proofreads each document before certifying and runs daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Prepares deposits and performs banking transactions
  • Files and purges UCC's files and performs searches. Files all Tax Lien's, UCC's microfilm and cuts jacket and types sleeves for film.
  • Other duties as neccessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or HSE
  • 18 Years of age
  • Previous office or clerical experience in a professional environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently

Pay: $53,221.00 per year
