Hourly Salary Range:
$24.32 - $35.86

DESCRIPTION

This position processes and maintains records and documentation for the Police department in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Responds to records requests from the officers, City staff, Prosecutors’ offices, and members of the public.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs redaction on photographs, body worn camera footage, and/or 911/audio in compliance with state statute and department policy.
  • Files, scans, and records documents into the Records Management System.
  • Processes public records requests for police and law enforcement reports including requests received from the media.
  • May perform responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

Two (2) years of experience in records management, clerical, administrative, or related experience.

Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.


Education:

High school diploma or GED.


Professional Licensure and/or Certifications:

Terminal Operator Certification awarded by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, obtain within one (1) week of hire.

  • Criminal history review
  • Post offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
  • Police background investigation
