Records Technician

Job Overview
The Records Technician aides in the responsibilities of the Treatment Coordinator. You will take the x-rays and photos needed for new patients exams and long Observation appointments. This job requires an energetic, outgoing personality. You are the first person our new patients interact with, you determine the patient's initial impression of our office. The photos and x-rays you take will be uploaded to the patient's medical records. your attention to detail and accuracy is vital.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting - The Records Technician should be the smiling face that makes each patient want to stay and be a part of our office.
  • Photos - You will be responsible for taking intraoral and extraoral photos on every patient and long observation patients. Evaluate your photo supplies to ensure mirrors and retractors are in ideal quality condition prior to using. It is extremely important that your photos are accurate and are checked by the Treatment Coordinator. Print photos for all new patient's and place them on the x-ray counter for Treatment Coordinators.
  • X-Rays - You must also take CBCT x-ray on every new patient and OBS Ready. The records you take aid the Doctor in diagnosing the new patient. After placing x-rays into the patient's chart, you can assist the TC's by pulling up the volume render if there isn't another patient ready for records and/or sterilization is caught up.
  • Daily Duties - You will be responsible for turning on the x-ray computer/machine. Taking new patients OBS ready photos. Run weekly testing on autoclaves and mail in results. Monitor autoclave results and confirm they are place into the correct folder. Put away retractors/mirros and charger the camera

Requirements

  • Proven experience in records management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and content management systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance management practices related to record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks related to file management and documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
