Recovery Driver

The Recovery Driver is responsible for safely transporting disabled, broken-down, or accident-affected vehicles from various locations to the workshop. The role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical awareness, and strong customer service, ensuring vehicles and clients are handled professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive recovery vehicles to transport cars, trucks, or other vehicles safely.
  • Respond promptly to service calls for roadside assistance or vehicle recovery.
  • Assess vehicle condition and load safely onto tow trucks.
  • Secure vehicles using proper equipment to prevent damage during transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and service reports.
  • Inspect recovery vehicle for operational safety before and after trips.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers during vehicle recovery.
  • Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license suitable for the type of recovery vehicle.
  • Proven experience as a recovery driver, tow truck driver, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate winches, dollies, and other recovery equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
  • Physical fitness to handle lifting and securing vehicles.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
