About the Role

The Staff Recruiter manages the full-cycle recruitment process for W-2 staff positions, from entry-level to management roles. This role is essential to attracting and hiring top talent that fuels our growth and operational success.

In addition to staff hiring, you’ll support 1099 Independent Contractor (IC) driver recruiting during peak periods and contribute to initiatives focused on improving early-stage employee retention and overall hiring success.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting: job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation

Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and align on candidate profiles

Represent Crossroads Courier’s culture and values in all candidate interactions

Conduct phone screens and in-depth interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit

Coordinate onboarding logistics and ensure a smooth start for new hires

Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through clear, consistent communication

Develop creative sourcing strategies across platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, niche boards, events, and community outreach)

Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles

Support 1099 IC driver recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding during peak demand

Track and analyze recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source-of-hire)

Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and recruiting best practices

Contribute to projects that enhance recruiting processes, employer branding, and retention

Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field preferred

2+ years of recruiting experience (in-house or agency), preferably in high-volume or fast-paced environments

Experience in logistics, transportation, or operations-driven industries is a plus

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, creative approach

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency with ATS platforms and tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and sourcing platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)

Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies

Professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with all stakeholders

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Willingness to assist with deliveries when needed to support customer commitments
