Overview

We are seeking a driven, detail‑oriented Recruiter with hands‑on experience sourcing and hiring DOT‑regulated drivers and warehouse personnel. This role is critical to building a reliable, safety‑focused workforce that supports our transportation and distribution operations. The ideal candidate understands the fast‑paced nature of logistics staffing, knows how to evaluate DOT compliance requirements, and can build strong pipelines of qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full‑cycle recruitment for DOT‑certified drivers (CDL and non‑CDL) and warehouse associates, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Verify DOT compliance requirements such as MVR checks, drug/alcohol testing, medical cards, employment verifications, and safety history.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines through job boards, social media, referrals, community outreach, and industry networks.
  • Partner with operations, safety, and HR teams to understand staffing needs and workforce planning.
  • Conduct structured interviews to assess experience, safety mindset, reliability, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate pre‑employment processes including background checks, physicals, and orientation scheduling.
  • Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS.
  • Support retention initiatives by monitoring new‑hire performance and addressing early‑stage concerns.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and community workforce programs.
  • Ensure all hiring practices meet federal, state, and DOT regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of recruiting experience, with at least 1 year focused on DOT driver and/or warehouse hiring.
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulations, driver qualification files, and safety compliance.
  • Experience recruiting CDL‑A, CDL‑B, non‑CDL drivers, warehouse associates, forklift operators, and related roles.
  • Ability to manage high‑volume requisitions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (Indeed, LinkedIn, Tenstreet, etc.).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
