Position Summary
The Internal Recruiter & HR Coordinator is responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting efforts while supporting core human resources functions, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives.
This role plays a critical part in building and sustaining a reliable pipeline of qualified field and operational talent across landscaping and construction disciplines. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the landscaping and/or construction industries and understand the unique challenges of recruiting, onboarding, and retaining skilled field employees.
This position may also support and engage in field operations or project work when needed, helping maintain a strong connection to the workforce and jobsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for field, operations, and administrative roles
- Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates, particularly for field positions
- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, trade schools, workforce programs, and community partnerships
- Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions
- Maintain accurate and organized applicant tracking systems
HR & Onboarding
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee transition
- Ensure completion and compliance of all new hire documentation
- Partner with operations leadership to support employee integration and early-stage success
- Assist with HR processes including employee records, compliance, and policy communication
Workforce Development & Retention
- Support workforce planning aligned with seasonal and project-based labor needs
- Track retention trends and identify factors impacting workforce stability
- Assist in implementing employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Help monitor workforce development milestones and training progress
Safety & Compliance
- Support safety initiatives and reinforce company safety culture
- Assist in ensuring compliance with employment regulations and internal policies
- Participate in site visits, audits, and occasional field support as needed
- Help track and maintain compliance-related documentation and reporting
Community Engagement & Employer Branding
- Represent Shearon at career fairs, job fairs, and recruiting events
- Build relationships with trade schools, colleges, and workforce development organizations
- Promote the company’s culture, career paths, and growth opportunities
- Strengthen employer branding within the landscaping and construction industries
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Develop and improve recruiting workflows and processes
- Track recruiting and HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities
- Improve hiring efficiency and workforce quality through data and process enhancements
- Support implementation of tools and systems to enhance visibility and reporting
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition
- Field experience in landscaping, construction, or skilled trades preferred
- Experience recruiting for landscaping, construction, or skilled trades strongly preferred
- Experience working with H-2B visa programs or seasonal workforce programs preferred
- Understanding of field workforce dynamics and seasonal labor needs
- Knowledge of HR practices, onboarding, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and HR software preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
