Recruiter (Marine Construction)

C.A. Jones is now seeking a full-time Recruiter to join our team in Pascagoula, Mississippi. A minimum of (1) year of recruiting experience is preferred.

Primary Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Confer with management to identify recruiting needs
• Source applicants through advertising, referrals, job fairs, etc.
• Proper qualification and pre-screening of candidates for open positions through resume reviews, phone interviews, and in-person interviews
• Ensure candidate resumes are current and formatted properly prior to submitting to C.A. Jones clients
• Extend offers of employment
• Manage job offers including negotiation and administration
• Facilitate pre-employment testing when required
• Verify references
• Expedite new hires (schedule medical qualifications, Osha training, VSRA training, and orientation)
• Assist with completion of background checks as needed
• Maintain effective communication with new candidates and current employees
• Provide regular updates and feedback to management
• Draft rejection letters
• Full use and maintenance of our applicant / employee tracking system (ATS)
• Use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and additional software
• Assisting current employees with job related needs as they arise
• Ensure all aspects of the recruitment process are met successfully

* A general understanding of naval and / or commercial ship construction is preferred.
