Position Purpose

The Recruiter plays a critical role in TVA’s ability to attract and secure top talent across the enterprise. Responsible for full-cycle recruitment, this role manages a diverse and high-volume portfolio of positions ranging from skilled labor and engineering to corporate, niche, and executive-level roles. Recruiters serve as trusted partners to leaders, delivering talent solutions that are aligned with TVA’s mission and workforce goals. This position requires a deep understanding of the recruiting lifecycle, strong consultative skills, and the ability to navigate complex hiring needs across TVA’s unique operating environment.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for enterprise-wide positions, including skilled trades, technical, professional, leadership, and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand short- and long-term staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Source and attract qualified talent using a combination of proactive outreach, job boards, referrals, pipeline programs, and networking.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting Operations to ensure seamless execution of interview logistics, assessments, pre-employment processes, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate closely with Talent Pipeline Development to support intern, veteran, early career, and military hiring initiatives.
  • Facilitate timely communication between candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to hiring managers on interview best practices, candidate selection, and market competitiveness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the applicant tracking system and ensure full compliance with internal policies, federal employment regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Monitor and analyze key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, candidate quality, offer acceptance rates) to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay informed on labor market trends and emerging sourcing techniques to continuously evolve recruiting practices in support of TVA’s hiring goals
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education. — Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, related field, or equivalent experience

Experience. — Minimum 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience or related HR experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Strong relationship-building, influence, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize tasks effectively. Experience recruiting for a broad range of functions and levels, including technical and leadership roles. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, recruiting tools, and candidate engagement strategies. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Sound understanding of hiring compliance, employment law, and best practices in inclusive recruitment.
