Recruiting Specialist - Marshall or Willmar (#0426B)

JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week), 12 Months Per Year starting As Soon As Possible

LOCATION: Marshall or Willmar, MN

Love meeting new people and helping them succeed? The Recruiting Specialist supports UCAP’s mission by managing the hiring process, assisting applicants, and partnering with hiring managers
to create a positive and welcoming start for every new employee.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Keep Hiring Moving Smoothly: Coordinate job postings, review applications, schedule interviews, and keep recruitment timelines on track from start to finish.
  • Be the Go-To for Candidates: Serve as the main point of contact for applicants, providing clear communication and a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Welcome New Team Members: Prepare new hire materials, complete background and reference checks, and help coordinate employee orientation.
  • Keep Records Accurate & Secure: Create and maintain complete, confidential personnel files while ensuring all recruitment and employment documentation meets
regulatory requirements.
  • Manage HR Information: Enter and update employee information in the HRIS and respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims as needed.

  • You’re a strong communicator: You communicate clearly and professionally - whether you’re emailing candidates, talking with hiring managers, or supporting new hires.
  • You work well on your own and with others: You’re comfortable managing your responsibilities independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
  • You’re comfortable with technology: You can confidently navigate HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED with two (2) years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
