Our Human Resources Team is seeking a Recruitment & Learning Specialist to play a key role in attracting, selecting, and developing talent across our businesses. The primary focus of this role is end-to-end recruitment and selection, ensuring the organization hires high-quality, diverse, and engaged employees.
The secondary focus is supporting managers and employees with learning and development (L&D) initiatives, helping to build capability, improve performance, and support career development. This role works closely with leaders and employees to deliver practical, people-centered HR support.
What you’ll do:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team needs, and success profiles
- Develop and post job advertisements that attract diverse and qualified candidates
- Source candidates using multiple channels (job boards, social media, networking, referrals, etc.)
- Screen applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate assessment and selection activities
- Provide guidance to managers on effective interviewing and selection best practices
- Prepare and present candidate shortlists and recommendations
- Coordinate reference checks, offers, and pre-employment requirements
- Ensure positive and professional candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process
- Track and report on recruitment metrics and continuously improve hiring processes
- Support the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives aligned with business needs
- Partner with managers to identify individual and team development needs
- Assist with the administration of training programs, workshops, and e-learning platforms
- Track training participation, completion, and effectiveness
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization
- Support HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment legislation
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed
What you’ll need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in recruitment and selection, ideally managing end-to-end hiring processes
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with managers and stakeholders
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Experience supporting learning and development or training programs
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Approachable, professional, and employee-centric
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities
