We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Recruitment Assistant to join our vibrant human resources team. Duties
- Assist with sourcing candidates through social media management, job boards, and research to generate high-quality leads for open positions
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring smooth communication between candidates and hiring teams
- Support the onboarding process by preparing employee orientation materials and managing employment contracts
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Lever, iCIMS, or Workday to ensure accurate candidate data
- Conduct initial screening calls, utilizing strong communication skills to assess candidate qualifications and fit
- Collaborate with hiring managers on talent management strategies, including succession planning and internal recruiting initiatives
- Assist with campus recruitment efforts by organizing events and engaging with potential future talent pools
- Support HR functions related to employee evaluation, employee relations, and training & development programs
- Engage in research activities to identify new sourcing channels and stay updated on employment & labor law compliance
Skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and manage relationships effectively
- Proficiency in recruiting tools such as ATS platforms (e.g., Taleo, PeopleSoft, iCIMS) and HRIS systems like Workday or UltiPro
- Strong negotiation skills for extending offers and managing candidate expectations
- Technical recruiting experience is highly desirable, especially in sourcing specialized or executive roles
- Knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure compliant hiring practices
- Experience with social media management for talent branding and lead generation purposes
- Familiarity with HR software such as Salesforce, ADP, Kronos, Paychex or similar platforms for payroll and employee data management
- Ability to conduct interviews confidently while demonstrating excellent research skills to identify top candidates
- Understanding of contracts, employee orientation procedures, and employee evaluation processes
- Demonstrated ability in cold calling, lead generation, and relationship management within a recruiting context
