Referral Coordinator (Hybrid Remote)

We are seeking a highly reliable, detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish) Referral Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination between referring providers, patients, and imaging centers. Accuracy, organization, and follow-through are essential for success in this position.
This is a hybrid role, primarily remote with occasional in-office days for training, collaboration, and team support.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process incoming referrals for imaging services
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments across multiple locations
- Communicate with referring providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems
- Proactively follow up on pending referrals and scheduling needs
- Provide clear communication and updates to patients regarding their appointments
- Collaborate with front desk, clinical teams, and leadership to optimize workflow
- Ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish (English/Spanish) – Required
- Proven reliability with strong attendance and accountability
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in referral coordination, medical scheduling, or healthcare administration
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience in radiology, imaging centers, or specialty clinics
- Familiarity with medical terminology
