Refrigerated Box Truck Delivery Route

Overview

This position involves routed deliveries of cases of product - 8 - 12 stops per route; avg 30 cases per stop.

It is seasonal - running from late May to late October.

Hours are roughly 6 am to 4 pm.

Driver will be responsible for load and unload of cases with a dolly and lift gate.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate refrigerated box trucks on designated delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload products using equipment such as dollies and lift gates, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated items.
• Load deliveries accurately according to route sheets and customer orders, verifying quantities and product conditions.
• Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction.
• Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the truck’s mechanical integrity and cleanliness.
• Scan deliveries in our routing software and submit photo proof of delivery to document each drop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar driving role involving box trucks or commercial vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely when loading or unloading goods.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of forklifts and pallet jacks for product handling.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
