Refrigerated Freight Driver Manager

Freight Logistics, Inc. is currently looking for a Driver Manager to join our team in our Wichita office.

As a Driver Manager, you will be responsible for managing an assigned fleet of drivers; overseeing their daily activities while ensuring the safe and timely movement of freight for various customers throughout the continental U.S. Driver Manager duties include review of load assignments, monitoring of pickup and delivery compliance while ensuring that the company continues to provide best in class service to our customers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establish a good working relationship with assigned drivers

· Monitor, service and track drivers to manage on time pick-up, on time delivery, and detention time

· Daily management and oversight of assigned fleet, ensuring a high-degree of utilization, safe operations, driver retention and regulatory compliance

· Proactively communicate with customers in regards to service delays and general questions

· Handle urgent situations in a professional manner

· Ensure accurate load entry and dispatch

· Create and maintain a high-level of engagement with assigned fleet ensuring a positive and productive work environment

· Monitor freight assignments and movements to ensure the safe and timely service of customer shipments meeting exacting on-time service requirements and ensuring a superior level of customer service

· Confirming that each driver is fully informed of all customer and company expectations and proactively monitoring all driver activities while under dispatch

· Coordinating driver availability, monitoring all driver activities as well as shipment status while ensuring hours of service compliance and asset utilization

· Communication with other company personnel of all key updates and working as a team to proactively resolve issues and provide dynamic logistics solutions

· All other duties and projects as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
