Refrigeration Technician Assistant (Bakery Equipment & Refrigeration Support)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Refrigeration Technician Assistant to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of both refrigeration systems and bakery equipment in a commercial bakery setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead technicians to ensure all equipment — from cold storage systems to baking machinery — operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:Refrigeration Support:

• Assist with the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration systems, including:
• Walk-in freezers and coolers
• Blast chillers and freezers
• Refrigerated proofers, cabinets, and display units
• Dough mixers with built-in refrigeration
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks: checking refrigerant pressures, cleaning coils, and testing system components.
• Support refrigerant handling, recovery, and charging procedures under supervision.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new refrigeration units.
• Monitor system performance, identify irregularities, and escalate complex issues to senior technicians.

Bakery Equipment Support:

• Support maintenance and repair of non-refrigerated bakery equipment, including:
• Ovens (rotating rack, deck, and convection)
• Dough dividers, sheeters, and mixers
• Proofers and retarders (with and without refrigeration)
• Slicers, dough rounders, and packaging machines
• Conveyors and production line components
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or control panel issues on bakery machinery.
• Help with equipment setup and calibration to meet baking production standards.
• Clean, lubricate, and inspect moving parts to prevent breakdowns.
• Respond quickly to production breakdowns to minimize downtime.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and in line with food safety regulations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory management of parts and tools.
• Work in coordination with production and quality assurance teams to schedule and prioritize work.
• Participate in ongoing training and development in both refrigeration and bakery equipment systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: BD150.000 - BD200.000 per month

Experience:
