Regional Business Development Executive – Fuel Retail & Energy (CCA)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Director to drive growth across the Central America & Caribbean region.

This is a true hunter role. We are seeking someone who thrives on identifying opportunities, opening doors, building executive relationships, and closing strategic deals with oil companies, fuel retailers, distributors, and related industry players.

The ideal candidate understands the petroleum retail ecosystem and has a proven track record of generating new business, whether selling technology, equipment, services, or other solutions to the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a regional business development strategy.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers within oil companies, fuel marketers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Represent ATIO at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Coordinate with technical and operational teams to develop winning proposals.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility.
  • Achieve and exceed regional revenue objectives.

RequirementsMust Have

  • Proven experience selling to the fuel retail, petroleum, energy, convenience retail, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of the fuel distribution and service station ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and new customer acquisition.
  • Excellent professional references and a track record of measurable results.
  • Self-starter mentality with strong initiative and accountability.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

Highly Valued

  • Existing relationships with oil companies, fuel marketers, distributors, or major industry players.
  • Experience selling technology, automation, payment, retail, operational, or industrial solutions.
  • Experience working across multiple countries in Latin America or the Caribbean.
  • Portuguese language skills.
