Regional Director

Role Overview

Waft is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Regional Director to oversee our ship supply operations within the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing high-level maritime logistics, and expanding our market presence. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in the ship chandling or maritime supply chain industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute regional business strategies to meet financial and operational targets.
• Operations Management: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of provisions, technical stores, and deck/engine supplies to vessels.
• Financial Oversight: Manage regional budgets, P&L, and resource allocation to ensure maximum profitability.
• Stakeholder Relations: Maintain and strengthen relationships with ship owners, management companies, and local port authorities.
• Compliance: Ensure all maritime operations adhere to international shipping regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in the maritime or ship supply industry.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Deep understanding of the regional maritime market and logistics infrastructure.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
