Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman (Yakima & Kittitas Counties)

People for People is looking for a full-time Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman for our Non-Profit organization located in Yakima, WA. This position is an on-site position with occasional remote work as necessary. We are looking for a professional, creative, and dynamic person who enjoys working with our culturally diverse staff and community residents.

Summary: The Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman serves as an effective and visible advocate for the well-being of long-term care residents within Yakima and Kittitas Counties. The Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman shall promote both individual and systematic complaint resolution activities, including community involvement, administrative and legislative monitoring and reporting.

Requirements:

  • B.A. in Health, Nursing, Social Services, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Three years of direct work in human services or related field.
  • A combination of education and measurable experience that demonstrates the capacity to perform the duties of this position, may substitute.
  • Preferred experience: Supervision (staff and/or volunteers); Conducting Training; Public Speaking.

Starting Wage: $21.22/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary Range: $21.22 - $27.71/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.
