Regional Sales Manager - North East Region

Description of the Position: 


As a critical member of the sales team, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will lead a team of 5-7 Sales Representatives. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the focus of the RSM will be achieving assigned quota in the specified region, coaching and developing their team, interacting with key customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and upholding BioWave’s core values.


The RSM will ensure a commitment to building people capabilities, ensuring the right people are in the right roles and individuals feel empowered and supported to reach their potential. Leading a regional team of Sales Representatives, this sales manager will demonstrate a clear purpose, clearly communicate performance expectations, and will know how to inspire their team to meet challenges, achieve ambitious goals and grow the business.


The RSM serves as a liaison between the field and corporate headquarters, identifying and communicating local insights and competitive activities in order to influence marketing plans, sales tactics and product development. The ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing selling environment is a critical key to success. Core competencies include motivation and leadership, team and individual development, strategic planning, business partnering, and time and resource management. Planning and conducting regional meetings is an ongoing responsibility and administrative duties include expense report review to assure compliance with company policies and regular utilization of salesforce.com. The leader must possess strong business acumen and actively contribute to team development while ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.


Key responsibilities/measurables: 


Manage Regional Sales Revenue: Oversee and manage the end-to-end sales process for your team, inclusive of prospecting, qualifying, closing new business and expanding business within existing accounts. 


Manage Regional Sales Activities: Manage and oversee all sales activities for your team including route planning, pre-call planning, prospecting efforts and account development. 


Team Development : Developing a high performing team will be instrumental to an RSM’s success. This requires a proactive approach to building and executing an ongoing improvement road map for each team member.

Experience and Skills 


• 3+ years of successfully managing a sales team selling into Physical Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Orthopedic, Chiropractic, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or any other related pain management clinics. 


• 5+ years of personal sales success establishing accounts and building relationships within a sales territory leading to substantial revenue growth. • Proven leadership and communication skills with a track record of developing direct reports to exceed revenue goals. 


• Experience selling into the Veteran’s Administration is a plus. 


• Aligns to BioWave’s Core Values (noted below). 


• Experience using and managing direct reports to utilize Salesforce or like CRM’s.

Pay & Benefits Summary. 


• Base: $70,000; Estimated Year 1 commission $50,000 (uncapped) 


• Medical Family – 55%, Employee 45% (year 1), 75% (onwards)
