Job Summary

Star Laboratories is seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead, manage, and grow regional sales operations within the poultry pharmaceutical market. The role focuses on achieving sales and recovery targets, developing distributors and sales teams, expanding market presence, and ensuring effective execution of company strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans in line with company objectives.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, recovery targets, and market share goals.
  • Appoint, manage, and develop distributors and dealers within the assigned region.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and monitor Sales Officers and Area Sales Managers.
  • Ensure effective territory coverage, route planning, and customer mapping.
  • Monitor sales performance, stock levels, credit limits, and recoveries.
  • Implement company-approved pricing, discount, and promotional policies.
  • Coordinate with Product and Technical teams for product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct regular market visits to key poultry farms, veterinarians, and opinion leaders.
  • Analyze competitor activities and recommend effective counter strategies.
  • Ensure timely submission of sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence.
  • Maintain strict compliance with company policies, DRAP guidelines, and ethical standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree (Degree in Veterinary Sciences will be preferred).
  • Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in Poultry Pharmaceutical sales, including regional-level responsibilities.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and distributor management abilities.
  • Sound understanding of poultry products, diseases, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, sales reporting, and performance tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Authority & Decision-Making

  • Recommend distributor appointments within the assigned region.
  • Approve discounts strictly as per company policy.
  • Manage regional resource allocation and route optimization.
