Lilac Agriculture is an agricultural biologicals company developing next-generation microbial inoculants designed specifically for pulse crops and Northern Plains growing environments. Our mission is to deliver practical, high-performing biological solutions that help growers improve productivity, profitability, and sustainability. 

We are building strategic partnerships with ag retailers and distributors across the Northern Plains and are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Representative to help expand our commercial footprint.

Territory: North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, and surrounding Northern Plains pulse-growing regions

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Representative will lead retail and distribution sales efforts across key Northern Plains markets. This role is responsible for developing relationships with agricultural retailers, distributors, seed companies, agronomists, and growers to support the launch and expansion of Lilac’s crop inoculant portfolio.

 The ideal candidate brings strong ag retail relationships, experience selling crop inputs or seed into distribution channels, and a passion for biological agriculture and innovation. Submit a brief cover letter outlining relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with ag retail regional, agronomists, and key growers.
  • Drive sales and commercial adoption of Lilac inoculant products across the Northern Plains.
  • Coordinate and support side-by-side field trials, retail demonstration plots, and agronomic data collection.
  • Deliver product training and technical support to retail partners and sales teams
  • Identify and onboard new channel partners and strategic accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership on territory planning, forecasting, pricing strategy, and commercial execution.
  • Represent Lilac at farm shows, industry meetings, grower events, and retail agronomy meetings.
  • Maintain CRM activity and provide regular market intelligence and competitive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of agricultural sales experience.
  • Experience selling through retail or distribution channels.
  • Background in seed, crop protection, fertility, biologicals/inoculants. Proven experience in outside sales or B2B sales within the medical or pharmaceutical industry; medical sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
