The Creekside School is a specialized, nonpublic school dedicated to supporting students on the autism spectrum with severe to profound behavioral and developmental needs. We are a highly collaborative, mission-driven team focused on helping our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally within a structured, supportive environment. We are seeking experienced, resilient, and committed Registered Behavior Technicians who are prepared to work with students requiring a high level of behavioral and instructional support.

What You’ll Do
As an RBT at Creekside, you will work closely with Special Educators, BCBAs, and Related Service Providers to implement individualized education and behavior programs.

In this role, you will:

• Implement IEP goals, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and individualized student programs with consistency and fidelity

• Collect accurate behavioral and academic data throughout the day

• Support students with communication, social-emotional development, and independence skills

• Utilize evidence-based behavioral strategies for students with severe to profound needs

• Build strong, structured relationships with students to support engagement and learning

• Maintain a safe, organized, and highly structured classroom environment

• Participate in team collaboration, trainings, and student planning meetings

• Support students during community-based instruction and outings (including transportation when required)

Who You Are

• Experienced working with individuals on the autism spectrum with severe to profound behavioral challenges

• Calm, patient, and able to maintain professionalism in high-intensity situations

• Skilled in implementing behavior intervention strategies with consistency

• Comfortable with crisis intervention protocols (training provided)

• A strong team player with clear and professional communication skills

• Detail-oriented and consistent with data collection

Qualifications

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with severe developmental disabilities in a school, clinical, or therapeutic setting (2+ years strongly preferred)

• Experience implementing behavior plans and collecting data required

Important to Know
This position works with students who may engage in significant behaviors, including aggression (biting, hitting, kicking), self-injurious behavior, and property destruction. Staff are trained in Safety-Care (QBS) and are expected to implement proactive strategies and, when necessary, safe physical interventions as a last resort.

This is a highly active, hands-on role requiring physical movement, including standing, walking, lifting, and responding quickly in crisis situations.
