Registered Behavior Technician - Fallbrook, Oceanside, Vista, and Valley Center

Looking for part time extra income?!? As a new and growing agency, Clearwater is seeking RBTs with flexibility and desire to supplement their current income or work part time to make some extra cash. If this matches your situation, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services in the Fallbrook, Oceanside, and Valley Center areas of North County San Diego. The RBT will work closely with children with developmental delays or autism spectrum disorder in their home and community setting. This role involves implementing individualized behavior and lesson plans, collecting data, and using natural teaching strategies to help children achieve their goals. Candidates should have a strong foundation in behavioral therapy, experience working with children, and knowledge of medical documentation and HIPAA regulations. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients while developing your skills in applied behavior analysis and special education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct teaching and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on individualized care plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Assist with teaching social skills, communication, and behavioral management strategies through positive reinforcement and play based strategies
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and functional skills
  • Collect, record, and summarize data accurately to help monitor progress and inform BCBA supervisor
  • Work alongside parents and caregivers to help them understand how to also assist in the development of new skills for their child

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with Associate Degree 30-35/hour or with a Bachelor Degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, teaching, human development, etc.) for 35-40/hour.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience with behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder preferred
  • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies, lesson plan implementation, and data collection.
  • Comfort and confidence to work effectively with children and their families requiring behavioral support in the home or community setting
  • Experience with natural and play based teaching while using direct, ABA related teaching techniques (e.g., shaping, differential reinforcement, task analysis, etc.)
  • Experience assisting with daily living skills (e.g., dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.)
  • Ability to collect detailed data accurately and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Compassionate and serving attitude that's able to provide energetic and passionate support with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse population

Other

  • Mileage reimbursement at .75/mile for travel between clients with per shift vehicle reimbursement for travel to Valley Center
  • Play based model used that reduces burnout and creates a fun and low-stress learning enviornment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
