Why Join Apex?

This is an entry-level position—no prior ABA experience or RBT certification required.

At Apex, you’ll start as a Behavior Technician in Training and receive paid training, mentorship, and support to earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

What You'll Do

Behavior Technicians provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children, teens, and adults, primarily in in-home settings, with some opportunities in school and community environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing individualized treatment plans designed by a BCBA
• Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
• Supporting reduction of challenging behaviors
• Collecting and recording data on client progress
• Collaborating with caregivers and clinical supervisors
• Participating in ongoing training and supervision

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach to understanding and improving behavior. Using ABA and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), we help individuals build meaningful skills across areas like communication, social interaction, self-care, independence, and more.

Compensation

• Posted pay range reflects the RBT rate (after certification)
• Employees begin as entry-level Behavior Technicians in Training with a training wage
• Pay increases provided at key milestones: after completing training modules, upon obtaining RBT certification, at 6 months, and annually
• Bonuses: for obtaining RBT certification, at 6 months, and annually

Schedule

• Monday–Friday availability required, with priority hours between 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Part-time: approximately 10–15 hours per week

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Willingness to complete RBT certification (training provided)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Access to a device (phone, tablet, or laptop)
