Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians / Autism Teachers to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities, implementing individualized behavior plans and providing support in various settings. Your expertise in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis will be essential in fostering positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Provide direct support to children with developmental disabilities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and care plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors while promoting positive interactions.
- Engage in teaching activities that enhance social skills, communication, and academic learning for children.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Familiarity with special education principles and patient care practices.
- Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively.
- Understanding of medical terminology and documentation standards related to behavioral health.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams.
