Registered Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control standards, and support the delivery of comprehensive dental care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering patient comfort and safety. Prior experience with EMR systems Dentrix is highly desirable, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation procedures.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics (fixe and removable), endodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
  • Take and develop X-rays and other medical imaging as needed, following proper aseptic techniques
  • Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions using appropriate dental terminology
  • Operate advanced dental technology to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Support four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures
  • Ensure accurate documentation using medical coding standards for billing and insurance purposes

Skills

  • Proficiency with EMR system Dentrix
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
  • Experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging, and vital signs measurement
  • Excellent chairside assisting skills with a focus on aseptic technique and infection control
  • Fabricate anterior and posterior temporaries is a requirement
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and various dental specialties including Implant dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry
  • Ability to operate advanced dental equipment such as Ct Scan and digital radiography tools
  • Effective communication skills suitable for patient education and team collaboration
  • Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is required; training will be provided for the right candidate

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
