Registered Dental Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team

Duties

· Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

· Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques.

· Manage patient records efficiently, including medical records and documentation in Dentrix.

· Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays – BW’s, PA’s and Panoramic.

· Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

· Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

· Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

· Assist with medical coding for insurance claims as necessary.

· Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in dental technology.

Requirements

· Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required. Minimum of 2 years of experience.

· Familiarity with Dentrix dental software systems is advantageous.

· Knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices is a plus.

· Ability to perform Dental imaging tasks accurately.

· Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care.

· Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technologies in the dental field.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week more hours available

Schedule:

· 8 hour shift – M-W with optional Thursday Hours

· No weekends
