Registered Dental Assistant

Position & Program Overview:

School Based Dental Prevention Program (SBDPP) Registered Dental Assistant aids the SBDPP Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the maintenance and delivery of quality dental preventive services in elementary and middle schools throughout the Middle Tennessee area.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Registered Dental Assistant Certification

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current driver’s license
• CPR certification
• Tennessee Bureau of Investigation background check

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages data input into database
• Provides support to Registered Dental Hygienists for clinical and administrative functions
• Serve as a liaison to Regional Dental Director
• Cultivates a climate of trust and compassion
• Remains updated with best practices in oral health and provides patient-centered care
