Registered Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in Orthodontics and/or pediactric dentistry. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques to ensure infection control.
• Take dental X-rays and perform medical imaging as needed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize Dentrix Ascend
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with pediatric dentistry and/or orthodontic tasks as needed, demonstrating patience and understanding with younger patients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical imaging techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
