We are looking for a motivated and dependable Registered Dental Assistant. The Registered Dental Assistant will assist with both hygiene and restorative procedures while helping maintain smooth clinical flow throughout the day. This role requires strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to anticipate team and doctor needs proactively.
Responsibilities
- Assist doctor during restorative and pediatric procedures
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas
- Take digital x-rays and assist with charting/documentation
- Support hygiene as needed
- Provide a positive, reassuring experience for children and parents
- Maintain familiarity with instruments, materials, and standard workflows
- Contribute positively to team efficiency and patient flow
- Follow office systems, protocols, and sterilization standards
- Pediatric dental experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with digital dental software and x-rays preferred
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems : Open Dental and Modento
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical practice
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools confidently
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, while maintaining professionalism and empathy
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting using chairside assisting skills and supporting multiple procedures simultaneously
