The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Registered Surgical Assistant (RSA) to join our full-time clinical team. In this role, you will work directly alongside our dentists and oral surgeons to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care. Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist/oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, and other oral surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and ensure strict infection control protocols are followed at all timesSet up and break down surgical suites before and after each procedure
• Monitor and document patient vitals during surgical procedures
• Administer and assist with local anesthesia under the direction and supervision of the attending dentist
• Provide post-operative instructions and care guidance to patients and their families
• Maintain, sterilize, and inventory surgical instruments and equipment
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in full compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with the broader clinical team to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Registered Surgical Assistant (RSA) certification through the National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent credentialing body
• Active Texas state registration/licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of surgical assisting experience, preferably in a dental or oral surgery setting
• Strong working knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization techniques, and infection

control standards

• Experience with IV sedation monitoring is a significant plus
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to anticipate surgeon needs in real time
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and clinical staff
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced surgical environment
