Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly following infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging using digital systems such as Dexis while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Manage patient records efficiently within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment plans.
  • Provide chairside assistance with aseptic techniques, four-handed dentistry practices, and medical documentation to enhance treatment efficiency.
  • Educate patients on oral health care instructions tailored to pediatric or adult needs and answer their questions confidently.
  • Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow smoothly.

Skills

  • Coronal Polishing(CP) certification is required.
  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and managing infection control procedures.
  • Experience working with EMR systems such as Softdent or CareStream; familiarity with Sensei is a plus.
  • Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines safely and accurately.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for protecting patient information and medical records management.
  • Skilled in pediatric dentistry practices and providing compassionate care to children of all ages.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
