Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce procedure time.
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas adhere to OSHA standards.
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices using clear dental terminology.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to those requiring specialized treatments like prosthodontics or endodontics.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant with current certification in CPR/BLS.
- Proven experience in general dentistry and familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment supporting general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics.
