Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
• Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with the dental team on scheduling, patient intake as a dental receptionist when needed, and managing medical records efficiently.

Requirements

• Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification recognized by state regulations.
• Proven experience in dental assisting within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
• Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical coding practices.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
