Registered Dental Assistant

Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. As an integral part of our practice, you will support the dentist by providing chairside assistance, managing patient records, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. You will get a chance to work with the only Accredited Fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in WA; an educator on CEREC and 3D printing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and supplies, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety.
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Conduct vital signs assessments and document medical history to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and guiding patients through their visit process.
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks including medical coding, record keeping, and maintaining organized medical records.
  • Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care to foster understanding and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with advanced procedures involving endodontics or prosthodontics as needed, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and dental materials.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
  • Prior experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation.
  • Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus; familiarity with pediatrics is highly valued.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of 3D scanners or advanced imaging technology is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $30.34 - $36.54 per hour
