Registered Dental Assistant/ Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) / Dental Assistant to join our prestigious dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will support various dental procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and deliver outstanding patient experiences. Duties

  • Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and root canals, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with proper infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Archy / Detntrix; document treatment details accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during procedures; update medical documentation accordingly.
  • Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices tailored for pediatric dentistry when applicable.
  • Support front desk operations by assisting with dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow seamlessly.

Requirements

  • Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification; experience as a Dental Assistant is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and dental assisting best practices.
  • Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
  • Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately; certification in radiography is required or preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Capable of performing vital signs assessment and supporting medical imaging procedures when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members across specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics. Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
