Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Hello! We're a family focused comprehensive dental office providing general care, implants, IV sedation, and short-term adult ortho. We've been around since 1978. Great patients and great team.

We are looking for an experienced RDA that has strong organizational and leadership skills. MUST be comfortable with ordering and tracking supplies and inventory, implant prosthetics and biologics. Experience with ortho and sedation a plus, but not required.

Experienced RDA compensation based on experience with procedures listed above and length of service at previous positions. Could be more or less.

Days/Hours.

Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm

JOB DESCRIPTION - DENTAL ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY: THE DENTAL ASSISTANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING THE DENTIST AND PROVIDING
DIRECT PATIENT CARE. THE DENTAL ASSISTANT IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR STERILIZATION, PREPARATION
AND INVENTORY CONTROL OF DENTAL INSTRUMENTS AND SUPPLIES.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Serves as Dentist’s chairside assistant. Provides chairside assistance, passes instruments and mixes materials, operates
oral evacuator and retracts tissues to maintain a clear visual field.
2. Prepares operatory for patient treatment.
3. Performs digital x-rays and intra-oral photos..
4. Records treatment rendered.
5. Seats and prepares patients for treatment.
6. Takes impressions for diagnostic casts and pours casts.
7. Maintains proper sterilization protocol.

Non-Essential Job Functions:
1. Escorting patients to chair.
2. Answering the phone.
3. Maintaining adequate operatory supplies and compiles a list for inventory control. Unpacking and storing supplies.
4. Keeps track of patients referred for outside treatment. Follows up with referred offices.
5. Track lab cases.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
Current CPR certification
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Dental Assistant is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and needle sticks.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and use hands.
