Registered Dental Hygienist

Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary recommendations, and preventive care strategies.
  • Take dental radiographs while adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment procedures, patient responses, and follow-up care in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft.

Skills

  • Proficiency with dental software systems like Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
  • Experience with chairside assisting techniques, including providing support during various dental procedures efficiently and confidently.
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally across diverse patient populations including pediatrics.
  • Familiarity with medical coding for billing purposes and documentation review processes.
  • Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
