Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to empower them with knowledge.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient responses, and clinical findings.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical records securely.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience in dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation review and billing purposes.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental assisting procedures.
• Experience using EMR systems documentation management.
• Ability to perform patient care tasks, medical imaging, and chairside assisting with professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while demonstrating empathy and patience. Pay: From $42.00 per hour
