Registered Dental Hygienist

Duties

Monday (8-5pm) and Friday (7-1pm flexible)

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to their needs
  • Assist in chairside procedures by providing support during treatments such as sealants, fluoride applications, and minor restorations
  • Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to safeguard patient and staff health
  • Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver seamless, efficient care in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
  • Proven experience in dental office environments, with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques
