Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental concerns
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs
  • Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments and taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) using digital systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
  • Ensure strict infection control protocols are followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of instruments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient interactions, and clinical findings in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide seamless patient care, including pediatric dentistry when applicable
  • Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and address any concerns promptly

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting
  • Proficiency with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations
  • Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management
  • Experience performing vital signs assessment, medical imaging, and chairside assisting in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry best practices is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and foster trust

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
