Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, have great situational awareness and assist in maintaining a clean/safe clinical environment. Provide preventive dental services while actually getting to know your patients, educate patients on various topics in oral health, and have the support to grow and thrive in your field. Your proficiency will help promote healthy smiles and foster positive patient experiences in a no drama, family friendly environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and calculus buildup.
  • Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure/pulse to assess patient health status.
  • Assist with medical imaging procedures (PA, BWX, Panoramic, and CBCT) ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
  • Preparing instruments, materials, and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
  • Manage patient dental records within Dentrix for accurate documentation, proper dental coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain infection control standards by adhering to sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols within the dental office setting.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members in a general dentistry setting.

Experience

  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, documentation review processes, and dental coding for billing purposes.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: From $37.00 per hour
