Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing preventive oral health services, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting overall patient well-being. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality dental care in a professional and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care to promote long-term oral health.
- Assist with chairside procedures, including applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and taking dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in Open Dental practice management software.
- Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general and/or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software, specifically Open Dental for documentation review and dental coding is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology is required.

Pay: $53.00 - $65.00 per hour
