Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, and support the overall efficiency of our clinic. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
• Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
• Assist in chairside procedures such as medical imaging, medical records documentation, and medical coding.
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery using systems like Softdent
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all safety standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental software such as Softdent.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
• Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment effectively.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and documentation review processes.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of medical coding relevant to dental procedures is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $48.00 - $53.00 per hour
