• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment plans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health
• Take dental imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EDR (Electronic Dental Records) systems like Open Dental
• Review dental records for completeness, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support dental coding accuracy for billing purposes

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification
• Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly desirable
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, documentation review processes, and dental coding standards to ensure compliance and accuracy

Pay: $44.00 - $50.00 per hour
