What you’ll do

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and patient record management.
• Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
• Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, enhancing the efficiency of the dental team.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary choices, and the importance of regular check-ups.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans that align with general dentistry practices.

Basic qualifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with medical imaging techniques
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding
• Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting
• Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
• Understanding of pediatric care principles
