Registered Dietitian – Telehealth / Outpatient Obesity Counseling Flexible schedule

LIFEWAYS NUTRITION PLLC - PART TIME (20 Hrs/week) - Full time

LIfeways Nutrition is a PRIVATE PRACTICE seeking a PART TIME experienced (min. 1 year) New York State Licensed, Certified Dietitian Nutritionists (CDN), and RDN who can work 3 days/week

We counsel overweight, and obese patients typically with Medical nutrition therapy needs for co-morbidities such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, and Hyperlipidemia. What sets our program apart is that we use a treatment based on clinical studies from the fields of nutrition and psychology . At 5 year follow ups - there is a 75% success rate with our specialized weight mgmt methodology. Join a NY METRO based practice that offers optimal patient care and follow up .

Must also have knowledge of medical Nutrition Therapy for various disease states - hyperlipidemia, Type II diabetes, kidney disease, high blood pressure, digestive tract disorders as there are multiple comorbidities associated with obesity.

What you need to bring to this position:

Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) and State Certified in New York State (CDN) w/i 2 months of hire;
Obesity counseling and disordered eating experience preferred
1-2 years counseling experience required;
Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs (including EXCEL)
Comfortable with remote technology, including EMR
Cannot hold a full time employment elsewhere;
Well organized with attention to detail
Proficiency in patient assessment and developing tailored individualized daily meal plans
Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire patients

COMPENSATION:

Competitive rate and paid family leave (PFL) for a 1099 independent contractor.

Rate: $46-$50 per hr;

Receive a $500 bonus after 6 months.
