Nutrition In Action, LLC is seeking a compassionate, motivated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) who is fluent in Spanish and English to provide virtual nutrition counseling for children, families, and adults. We are currently hiring one part-time position. Applications are being accepted now until the position is filled. Time between accepting the job offer to actually beginning the job will be 2-4 weeks.

Position Overview

The majority of our patients are Spanish-speaking families with children who are overweight, obese, or underweight. Adult patients with a variety of nutrition-related conditions are also seen. Approximately 95% of counseling sessions are conducted entirely in Spanish, so bilingual fluency is required.

This is a fully remote position using Zoom for Healthcare (HIPAA-compliant) and Practice Better electronic health records.

Schedule

• Part-time: 10–12 hours per week
• Weekday afternoon availability required (3:00–7:00 PM Pacific Time)
• Flexible weekday scheduling
• Optional Saturday hours (up to two Saturdays per month); not required
• Paid 2-hour onboarding and training before start date

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans using Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
• Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling to pediatric and adult patients.
• Document assessments, interventions, evaluations, and patient progress using the ADIME format within the electronic health record.
• Deliver culturally sensitive, age-appropriate nutrition education and counseling.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed regarding patient care.
• Schedule follow-up appointments using the electronic scheduling system.
• Review patient chart notes provided prior to appointments.

Our administrative assistant schedules all new patient appointments and confirmation calls, while the practice owner coordinates communication with primary care providers and prepares patient records.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
• Fluent in both Spanish and English
• Strong communication and counseling skills
• Comfortable providing telehealth services and using electronic health records
• Must reside within the continental United States

Compensation & Benefits

• RDN: $40/hour starting wage (performance-based raises considered after one year)
• CDE: $45/hour
• Paid training and three paid team meetings annually
• Professional liability insurance provided through AMBA Proliability
• W-2 employee status
• Direct deposit and payroll administered through Paychex
